“The following writing is based on reflections by Danielle Lynn of the You-Tube channel, "True Self Alchemy." I resonated with this talk, because it spoke to me about how to emotionally process Collapse, in a healthier way, rather than reacting in panic mode. I trust you will appreciate it as much as I did.” David McHugh
When you push your way through life, it can feel like you're constantly battling against the current. But when you stop forcing things and let go of the need to control every outcome, something profound happens, your natural abilities and gifts start to shine effortlessly. The less you push, the more your true self emerges, leading to a more satisfying and fulfilling life.
If you’re reading this, it’s likely because you’re ready to embrace a new way of living, one that’s not about forcing life to conform to your expectations, but about living deliberately and authentically. It’s time to stop trying to mould your life into something you think it should be and instead start embracing what feels right for you. You’re ready to let go of the struggle and step into a more empowered, intentional way of being.
In this journey, I’ve had the privilege of conversing with creators, teachers, influencers and incredible individuals like yourself. Today you’re ready to move beyond a life driven by force. You’ve spent enough time trying to convince yourself to be a certain way to get what you thought you wanted. Now, it’s time to tune into what you truly desire.
Start by focusing on what feels right in the present moment, what energizes your body, mind, and spirit with a sense of ease. As a deliberate creator, you have the power to inspire magic in your own life and manifest realities you want to experience. You don’t need to achieve a certain status, accumulate wealth, or follow a specific path before you can begin living the life you want. The key is to recognize that everything you need is already within you, right here, right now.
It’s important to acknowledge the challenges and trials you’ve faced, those experiences which have shaped you. But for now, I invite you to set them aside, just temporarily. Give yourself the gift of clarity, free from the weight of past burdens. This moment of clarity will empower you to make choices with greater ease and intention.
Every experience I had, no matter how intense, was something I believed would serve me in some way, even if only on a subconscious level. I speak from experience, having lived through my own intense storylines. We all have, and it’s often these experiences that bring us to a point of greater awareness. When we allow ourselves to fully experience the lows of life, we also expand our capacity to experience the highs of life. However, it’s easy to get stuck in the momentum of one extreme or the other.
If you’re ready to break free from a recurring cycle or story in your life, here’s something to consider: our energy often congregates around challenges or unresolved issues until we redirect it toward what excites us. We tend to chew on problems like Rubik’s cubes, believing that by focusing on them, we can resolve them and move on. But often, this focus only perpetuates the issue.
The truth is, whatever we focus on grows in our experience. If you want something to shift in your life, it’s not about ignoring the problem or running away from it. It’s about giving it just enough attention to gain awareness and make a new choice.
Here’s how I approach it, and perhaps it will resonate with you: When faced with a challenge, I first acknowledge my feelings without judgment. I don’t try to suppress them or tell myself to be the “bigger person.” I simply allow myself to feel. Then, I observe how much of my energy is directed toward blaming or resenting someone else. I notice that whenever I do this, I’m essentially saying that my well-being depends on someone else’s behaviour. But I no longer believe that.
Instead, I focus on what’s happening within me. Why did this situation trigger such a strong response? What patterns or beliefs within me are being activated? By turning my attention inward, I begin to understand that the issue is not really about the other person, it’s about something unresolved within myself. And as I work through that, I find similar situations no longer trigger the same response. I become less reactive, more centred, and more empowered.
When I stop assigning blame and start taking responsibility for my own emotional reactions, I disentangle myself from the drama. I stop perpetuating the patterns that attract similar conflicts into my life. And as I do, the energy that was once tied up in these struggles becomes available for me to direct toward what I truly want.
Now, as I bring back the stories and experiences I set aside earlier, I invite you to evaluate them from this new perspective. Be honest with yourself. Notice if you’re still pointing fingers or feeling disempowered, and ask yourself, “What belief am I holding onto that’s making me feel this way?” This awareness is the first step toward reclaiming your power.
Remember, every challenge is an opportunity for growth. By being present with your experiences and exploring them without judgment, you transmute old patterns and open yourself up to new possibilities. You no longer need to control the world around you to feel stable within yourself. Instead, you become a catalyst for positive change in the world, simply by being true to who you are.
As I conclude this share, take a moment to reflect. When you revisit your stories, do so with a sense of empowerment. Observe any lingering feelings of disempowerment and ask yourself what beliefs are keeping you stuck. This is your chance to reconnect with your inner power and start living from a place of true alignment.
Ultimately, when you stop pushing against life and start flowing with it, you’ll find that your energy is freed up to create the life you’ve always wanted. You’ll be able to focus on what truly excites you, and as a result, you’ll amplify more of what you love in your life and the world around you. So embrace this opportunity for clarity, empowerment, and transformation. You’ve got everything you need within you to make it happen.
